Mahonia japonica 'Hivernant'

Mahonia - Japanese

'Hivernant' Japanese Mahonia has more finely cut evergreen foliage than Leatherleaf Mahonia, and the leaves are somewhat darker and glossier, without the prominent veins. The fragrant, open flowers appear in February and March and are a deeper yellow than M. bealei. It has similar, bird-pleasing fruit in early summer.
