The huge lustrous red leaves of 'Red Abyssinian' Banana are set off by darker purple margins and veins. It grows at an amazing rate in large containers or in the ground. Ensete maurelii 'Red Abyssinian' prefers plenty of moisture. So did the grey tree frog that lived in it all summer on our back deck.
