Actaea racemosa Common Name: Snakeroot - Cohosh Snakeroot or Cohosh is a spectacular addition to the late summer flower garden with tall, rocket-like spires of ivory white, fragrant flowers which are held high above the green foliage. The bloom period is longer than a month and insects love it (great for nature photographers). Actaea racemosa is best in moist, shady locations.
