Liriope spicata 'Silver Dragon'

Lily-Turf

A spreading broadleaf evergreen with subtly variegated green foliage striped with white, Liriope spicata SILVER DRAGON is an interesting alternative Lilyturf to Liriope muscari ‘Variegata’. The somewhat subverted white stripes along the grass-like foliage makes it appear almost silvery, hence the name SILVER DRAGON Variegated Lilyturf. In late summer and early fall, usually from August to September, upright spikes of white and pale lavender flowers appear, somewhat hidden by the foliage. As with other Lilyturf selections, Liriope spicata SILVER DRAGON prefers bright to partial shade and moist soils, although it can tolerate drought once established in shadier areas. Deer and rabbit resistant, this tough evergreen perennial will thrive in the somewhat shady border and add interest all year long.
