Nepeta x 'Chartreuse on the Loose' PP35867

Catmint

The coolest cat around! Nepeta ‘Chartreuse on the Loose’ offers multiple seasons of interest with its bright chartreuse foliage that remains colorful from early spring to late fall. Blue-purple flowers emerge in early summer with an intensely long bloom period, beginning in early June and proliferating well into September, no deadheading required! The fragrant lime green foliage makes an excellent contrast companion to the purple flowers, enhanced further by the pleasant minty aroma released by the leaves when touched or crushed. ‘Chartreuse on the Loose’ Catmint is a wonderful, low-growing selection perfect for filling in the perennial garden or edging the border. Like most Catmints, Nepeta ‘Chartreuse on the Loose’ is drought tolerant and capable of naturalizing in difficult site conditions with poor soils, while its fragrant foliage keeps deer and rabbits at bay.
