'Appalachian Trail' Foam Flower is part of the Appalachian Trail™ Series of Tiarellas.  An improvement on Tiarella 'Running Tapestry', 'Appalachian Trail' has the same vigorous trailing habit, but the leaves are attractively marked with maroon veining radiating out from the centers.  This great low groundcover for shady spots comes from the breeding work of Janet Egger, Tiarella x 'Appalachian Trail' would also be an effective addition to a shade hanging basket because of its trailing habit and delicate but showy white flower spikes.  Semi-evergreen.
