Asimina triloba 'Taytwo'
Pawpaw
Calling all Pawpaw lovers! Asimina triloba ‘Taytwo’ has all of the wonderful qualities of our native Pawpaw, with the additional benefit of having large, sweet fruits that will have your mouth (and the mouths of your local wildlife) watering. ‘Taytwo’ Pawpaw is a particular favorite for its enhanced flavor and vigorous growth, producing an abundance of fruits during the very dog days of summer and into early autumn, typically towards the end of September and into October. When the fruits are ready to be harvested, the large, exotic-looking foliage begins to turn shades of yellow. This Michigan selection is wonderfully hardy, fast growing, and unbothered by typical landscape pests and diseases. Add ‘Taytwo’ Pawpaw to the edible garden, the native shade garden, or anywhere that it will be allowed to happily establish itself into a colony.
