Clematis texensis 'Princess Kate' PP23850
Clematis
All of the grace, elegance, and prosperity of a princess packed into a plant! Clematis texensis 'Princess Kate' is a reblooming hybrid Clematis chosen for its two-toned, tulip-shaped flowers that face upward and bloom from mid-summer to early fall. From July to late September, cup-shaped flowers with mahogany-purple exteriors accenting pure white inner tepals. Princess 'Kate Clematis' is a well-behaved deciduous vine that can climb 8’ to 13’ along a fenceline or trellis, growing quickly but producing sterile flowers to ensure it doesn’t escape the garden confines. The flowers have been prized for their graceful lack of decline, showing little-to-no fading in color as they age. Grown in celebration of Catherine Middleton’s marriage to Prince William, 'Princess Kate' Clematis is the perfect romantic addition to summertime container plantings, contrasting beautifully with dark purple and blue-flowering perennials and vines at the height of the year.
