Juniperus horizontalis 'Youngstown'

Creeping Juniper

Juniperus horizontalis ‘Youngstown’ is a native, procumbent evergreen shrub that is capable of forming dense, wide mats in a variety of site conditions, from hot, dry environments, to city environments with salt spray, air pollution, and soil compaction. ‘Youngstown’ Creeping Juniper provides all the best aspects of a groundcover juniper, from its low maintenance and versatile habit, to its blue-green, finely textured needles throughout the growing season that take on a plum-purple hue in winter, to its deer and rabbit resistance. When planted in the rock garden or especially along the edge of a border, its sprawling, scrambling branches create a beautiful naturalistic look and soften hardscaping by gently spilling onto pathways.
