Osmanthus heterophyllus 'Kaori Hime'

Holly Tea Olive

An evergreen shrub with more to offer than just year-round greenery! Osmanthus heterophyllus Party Princess®, commonly called ‘Kaori Hime’ Tea Olive, is a dwarf, compact selection packed with tiny, dark green, spiny leaves all year long. Late in the season, usually from August to October, tiny white flowers bloom that emit a sweet aroma, of which its Japanese name helps to emphasize: ‘kaori hime’ loosely translates to Fragrant Princess - and fragrant she is! Use this small evergreen shrub to brighten up borders, pathways and winter gardens. Because of its short stature, the abundance of flowers seem to simply overtake the entire specimen come bloom-time, making it a welcomed addition to seasonal container plantings, or small spaces that beg for multi-seasonal interest.
