Verbascum x 'Royalty' PP17891

Mullein

Beautiful, showy spikes of reddish-purple flowers give Verbascum ‘Royalty’ the regal appearance for which it is named. From late May to early July, basal rosettes of downy medium-green foliage erupt with the short spikes, which reach only 12” in height, and are covered in large individual blooms that attract bees and butterflies. This dwarf Mullein makes a great unifying element in the full sun garden, or can be planted in a group to reveal a swath of the gorgeous reddish-purple blooms in the late spring and early summer. While ‘Royalty’ Mullein stays compact and rather tidy in the landscape, it displays excellent vigor and blooms robustly throughout its season, sure to draw attention from visitors – but keeping deer and rabbits at bay!
