With an extended bloom time beginning in late spring and continuing well into the fall, usually from June to October, the raspberry to grapefruit-pink flowers with salmon-apricot throats provide a fiery, nearly fluorescent element to seasonal cut flower arrangements and landscapes alike. Reaching 2-4’ in height at full bloom, the magnificent upright spikes of tubular flowers are most definitely a focal point for summery containers, or for the full sun perennial border where bees, butterflies, and even hummingbirds can be observed enjoying the sweet nectar.
