North American native, Juniperus horizontalis ‘Andorra Compacta’, is a low-growing, Creeping Juniper that remains compact in stature and performs well in dry, well-drained soils such as those in rock gardens and waterwise plantings. As a groundcover, ‘Andorra Compacta’ Creeping Juniper maintains its dense, mat-like growth habit, with evergreen foliage displaying a lovely emerald hue throughout the growing season, followed by a seasonal purple-bronze tone in the cooler months. ‘Andorra Compacta’ Creeping Juniper is highly salt tolerant and can be considered for coastal plantings as well as wherever salt spray may be a concern. Its versatility in the landscape makes it a prime candidate for a variety of sites, including areas requiring erosion control or urban environments with compacted soils.
