Itea virginica 'Henry's Garnet'
'Henry's Garnet' Sweetspire has fragrant white flowers in June and burgundy-scarlet fall foliage. Itea virginica 'Henry's Garnet' was named by the Scott Arboretum after Mary Henry. Per Bruce Crawford of the Morris County Park Commission, this is the most cold tolerant of all the Iteas and a great alternative for Euonymus alatus 'Compactus' (Compact Winged Burning Bush). It is also wet site tolerant.
