Digitalis purpurea 'Camelot Cream'

Foxglove

Digitalis purpurea ‘Camelot Cream’ features spiked whorls of creamy, tubular blooms with maroon interior splotches that make this hardy biennial the perfect contrast against the abundant yellows, pinks and purples of the late spring to mid-summer. From June to August, the upright spikes appear over downy grey-green foliage, with the large, individual, ivory-cream-colored bell-shaped flowers blooming from bottom to top over a several week period. Although a short-lived biennial, ‘Camelot Cream’ Foxglove flowers in its first year, and sets seed after its flowering period during its second year. Digitalis purpurea ‘Camelot Cream’ is perfect for adding to the cut flower garden, or for providing a vertical aspect to the full sun perennial border.
