Digitalis purpurea 'Dalmatian Peach'

Foxglove

What better to incorporate into the modern garden than a flowering biennial with the 2024 Pantone Color of the Year? Digitalis purpurea ‘Dalmatian Peach’ has the “peach fuzz” hues that are known to provide a sense of calm and serenity to the garden visitor, with its profuse blooms appearing on upright spikes, opening from bottom to top, featuring a gradient from a light creamy yellow to a soft peach fuzz, all with orange-and-yellow-ringed throat splotches, and blooming voraciously over several weeks on a single stalk. From early June to mid-August, the uniquely colored flower spikes appear over a rosette of medium-green foliage even in this biennial’s first year of growth. The soft floral tones make an excellent addition to fresh cut flower arrangements and bouquets, making ‘Dalmatian Peach’ Foxglove a staple in the cut flower garden, border or foundational planting, where it looks most impressive when several plants are massed together. Toxic properties make Foxgloves deer and rabbit resistant.
