Physocarpus opulifolius Little Devil™ PP22634

Ninebark

Little Devil™ ('Donna May') Ninebark is a compact form of our Native shrub which is much more suited to smaller gardens than many of its relatives.  The foliage is a beautiful reddish purple that holds its color intensity well into the summer, on a 4' rounded shrub.  The small but plentiful pink to white flowers appear in June, followed by interesting seed capsules.  Since the compact form of Little Devil™ makes it unnecessary to prune it often, this Ninebark is very low maintenance.  Sun loving, pest resistant and deer proof, this First Editions® introduction from Bailey's Nursery was bred by Dr. David Zlesak.
