Hypericum calycinum

Hypericum calycinum

St Johnswort

Aaronsbeard St. Johnswort has blue-green foliage followed by small yellow flowers in summer. Once established, Hypericum calycinum is a good groundcover for poor, dry sites. Per Bruce Crawford, seems to be most happy in light shade and does benefit from mowing to the ground in spring. Not as vigorous in the full sun.
