Procurement/Customer Service

"Do what you love, love what you do" is the motto I followed when I jumped into horticulture well over a decade ago, and I am proud to admit I feel the same way today. My former career was in the commercial real estate arena, and I volunteered part-time with non-profit organizations and nature preserves. Spending my free time immersed in botanical gardens and diverse landscapes was incredibly therapeutic and ultimately inspired me to change careers. Soon enough, I found myself back in the formal classroom studying plant science and earned a certificate in Ornamental Horticulture.

Once I made the switch to working with plants full-time, I also became CNLP certified with the NJNLA and worked in the trade alongside many talented growers, gardeners, designers, nurserymen and nurserywomen solidifying invaluable hands-on experience with the plants themselves. I truly understand what it is like to connect with certain plants that make a garden shine.

More About Kristin

I joined Pleasant Run Nursery in 2018, and here at the farm I handle plant procurement in addition to sales and customer service. Most of my favorite plants to work with (and in my home gardens) are natives and dappled-shade plants, especially Lindera benzoin, Oxydendrum arboreum, Actaea racemosa, and pretty much all woodland ferns.

When away from the farm you will find me gardening, studying herbalism and crafting herbal items, chanting OM in the yoga studio, hiking, foraging, and camping throughout the Northeast with family, pups, and friends.
